I help founders and funders build the future of regulated industries. I've been on every side of that equation.

I believe the best technology in law and finance will come from people who understand how these industries actually work — and where the friction is worth automating.

The hype cycle keeps promising that AI will "transform" legal and financial services while most of the products getting funded will never survive first contact with a real workflow.

I've investigated monopolistic business practices at the Competition Bureau and practiced antitrust law at one of Canada's top firms. I've worked on M&A transactions where the stakes were real and the deadlines were yesterday. Then I crossed over. At ClearyX, Cleary Gottlieb's tech arm, I built a regtech product from a concept to Fortune 500 clients and tested AI platforms like Harvey, Legora, Luminance, and Deepjudge. Not in a sandbox. In the field.

Now, as Research Consultant at The LegalTech Fund, I develop investment theses, market maps, and intelligence across legal tech, fintech, and regtech — helping capital find the right founders at the right time. I lead a community of 350+ women leveraging AI in their personal lives and businesses. And I write The Founding Protocol, a newsletter about what happens when law, technology, and capital collide. Because regulated industries deserve better than hype.

I also build. I make tools that turn regulatory complexity into startup opportunity — from tracking how fintech regulation is shifting across Canada and the US, to mapping where the arbitrage is for founders. The best way to understand a market is to instrument it. You can explore what I'm working on in the Lab.

Let's talk.
